Chants, aka Madison-based percussionist Jordan Cohen, is a musical alchemist who creates baseline beats, loops them and then pours them into trancelike experimental electronica.
Dave Schoepke is a uniquely admired and respected drummer and percussionist whose wide-ranging approach always puts meaning and substance ahead of virtuosity. He creates music specializing in percussion and synths.
Avoidancepolicy: My work is a questioning. In pursuit of the unseen, untold, erased and forgotten possibilities; I question my materials, whether physical or conceptual. I question the habitual; the infinite, oscillating gradations between process and ritual.
Accessibility notes: We have two steps to come in the front door, and one step in our back door. There are two steps into the second portion of our building to reach the bathroom. Please let us know if we may assist you in accessing the space.
