Come learn the basics of tin foil and wire armature to make light weight ornaments and figures using Sculpey!
This workshop will cover the basics of constructing an armature, planning size and scale in advance, incorporating tin foil and wire to strengthen and lighten sculpture, and how to fire a piece in stages to preserve detail and integrity. The end goal of the workshop will be to construct an object that’s light enough to hang on a tree branch.
Students in this class are expected to use super glue and x-acto knives, so parents of younger students may wish to attend to help their children use these advanced tools. Children under 10 will require parental supervision and assistance during this workshop.
