Join dozens of regional artists, writers, print-makers and advocates for a day-long festival of transformative, and transgressive DIY publishing and printmaking. Various makers will be present and ready to share their work with the Madison area community.

All craft, sewing, knitting and other fibers projects are welcome. If you just want to hang out and draw, that sounds great too!
Some amount of supplies (scrap fabric, scissors, embroidery floss, etc...) are available, but please bring your own of anything you'll absolutely need.

All The Sounds Are Done is a new gathering space for improvised music happening monthly at Communication. Run by hosts Jakob Heinemann, Sahada Buckley and Tim Russell, the series will begin each month with a performance by a different artist, before opening up a to jam session where all are welcome to play. We will draw names out of a hat to create a spontaneous grouping of musicians, who will then improvise freely together. Please join us in celebrating experimentation, connecting with new artists, and openness to new sounds!

Join us for a new, free monthly open mic event! Communication volunteers will host any singers, poets, comedians or other performers who wish to get onstage in an all-masked space.
Fat Fashion Swap: Spring 2024!
IT FEELS BIG: where fashion meets community! Not only will we walk away with a few new garments for the upcoming season, we also hope to walk away with some new connections.
Folks should bring ~10-15 gently used, unstained and untorn plus sized (approx size US 14+!) spring/summer clothing items. A measuring tape might be helpful as well!
This event is for fat folks first and foremost! This is a fat-positive space — no body shaming, food shaming, diet talk, intrusive questions about diet/exercise/health, and no disease mongering.
Accessibility notes: We have two steps to come in the front door, and one step in our back door. There are two steps into the second portion of our building to reach the bathroom. Please let us know if we may assist you in accessing the space.
We have limited parking behind our building in a small lot.
